We're Joining Robin Wall Kimmerer for the Spring Solstice Plant Circle This Friday

We have some very exciting news to share: Brooklyn Rewilders will be featured on Robin Wall Kimmerer's Plant Baby Plant Spring Solstice Plant Circle — airing this Friday, March 20th at 4pm EDT.

Robin Wall Kimmerer is the botanist, author, and Indigenous scientist whose work has deeply inspired our own. Her writing on reciprocity, the gift economy of nature, and what it means to truly belong to the land has been woven into the heart of Brooklyn Rewilders from the very beginning. We were deeply honored to be in conversation with her.

Robin sat down with our co-founders Susan Joy and Laena McCarthy to talk about bringing nature's gift economy into our cities — and what it looks like to reconnect urban communities with the living world.

This season's episode also features Sean Sherman (known as The Sioux Chef), an Oglala Lakota chef, educator, and activist revitalizing Indigenous food systems, in a rich conversation about the botany of buds and Indigenous culinary traditions.

The video will be live on the Plant Baby Plant YouTube channel at broadcast time and available on demand afterward.

Mark your calendars: Friday, March 20 at 4pm EDT. We hope you'll gather with us to mark the season.🌸
