Every day is an adventure
We start each morning at the library with field guides and one question: what do you most want to observe today? Then we head out into the living world. It's amazing what you see when you slow down and really observe: the bee working a single flower, the bird you'd have walked right past, the whole small world in a square foot of meadow.
Each child gets their own nature journal for drawing, writing, or pressing a flower. Educators help the little ones. We move slowly, observe, and follow what's alive.

🌳 Prospect Park: Exploration, nature journaling, and lunch in the shade of special tree. Native bees, birds, trees, and the quiet corners most people walk right past.

What to Bring
Packed lunch and a full water bottle
Weather-appropriate clothes with an extra layer
Comfortable closed-toe shoes (no sandals)
Hat and sunscreen applied before arrival
Brooklyn Rewilders provides field guides, nature journals, snacks, and all materials.
Rain or shine
We're an outdoor program, and a little weather doesn't stop us. We have a warm, dry indoor space to move to should we need it. The adventure carries on either way.
Registration & refunds
Spaces are limited, and we plan our staffing, materials, and snacks around each child who enrolls, so registration is non-refundable. That said, life happens. If you let us know at least a week in advance, we'll do our best to accommodate you.
Have a younger child who's eager to join? If your four-year-old has spent time with us before, they are welcome to join us. If they haven’t, reach out and let's talk it through.

After you register
Please download our enrollment packet, one per child.
These cover emergency contacts, health history, and a few permissions. Please complete them by September 18th and email them with an up-to-date Health form to Brooklynrewilders@gmail.com
No child can join us in the field until their forms are in, so the sooner the better.
